Support for Healthcare Workers

Our healthcare workers are putting in long and exhausting hours caring for COVID-19 patients. Let’s show them some extra love by providing them with meals and care packages.

How You Can Help:

Provide Lunch– Act Together is working with hospitals in the North Atlanta area to provide meals to doctors and nurses working in the ICU with COVID patients. Your financial support also helps keep restaurants in business and provides employment for local restaurant workers. Provide lunch for a healthcare worker.

Prepare Lunch– Act Together is looking for volunteers to prepare meals from your home. Food must be dropped off in Woodstock. Could you prepare a tray of lasagna for 10 people? In order to further prevent the spread of COVID-19, we ask that you prepare the meal with those living in your household and do not get together in groups to prepare the meal. Groups could divide up the meal and each family prepare a dish from their home. Register to help prepare a meal.

Volunteer to Help Transport Food– Volunteers are needed to deliver food to the hospitals. This is a contact-less family friendly service opportunity. Sign up to volunteer.

Assemble Care Packages- Get your office, school group, or Sunday school class involved. We are collecting care packages for nurses and other healthcare workers. The care packages can include lotion, chocolates, prepackaged snacks, hand sanitizer, a mask, small candle, encouraging notes, etc. Children are welcome to make pictures and write encouraging notes. Plan to spend $20 per care package. Care packages will need to be dropped off in Woodstock or Alpharetta. Register to make care packages.

“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
