Bob Arena is our Volunteer of the Month for August. Bob has volunteered at several Act Together events over the past year. He serves as our "facility manager" at the events and does an amazing job! He never complains and can often be found emptying trash, sweeping floors and doing the "dirty work." God bless you, Bob!
Fundraiser to Benefit Act Together
Want to get dressed up and enjoy a nice event with live music, a buffet, and silent auction? All for a good cause! Mark your calendars and plan to join us at Naylor Hall in Roswell on Sunday, October 13th at 6PM. Doors open at 5PM.
Thank you to all who gave so generously and made this event possible. Because of your help, hundreds of children were able to begin the new school year with new school supplies, medical/dental screening, a new outfit of clothing, and a haircut. The kids had a blast!
It is such a great feeling to shop with these kids. It is certainly more time intensive and less efficient to allow the children to shop (just as it is for any parent that takes their kids shopping!) but it is so worth it. I shared with a few folks that although we wanted things to go smoothly, the goal was not operational efficiency…it was building self esteem and providing them the tools for school. Not a single child was “grabby” taking more supplies than noted, not a single child complained as we ran out of supplies, and there were only a few meltdowns when “the” backpack was snatched up by someone else…but each time we were able to dig around and find a duplicate! It truly is a blessing to us to be able to be God’s hands and feet on these days!

On behalf of my family, I would like to personally thank you for your recent contribution from act together ministries and from all the Volunteers. This event today helped me and my children a lot.
