Brian T. Clark is the Chairman of the Act Together Ministries Board of Directors. He serves as digital operations director for Times-Journal Inc and Managing Editor of Neighbor Newspapers. He is a member of the Roswell Rotary Club and has been a guest speaker for several local community groups. Brian graduated from Oglethorpe University in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in communications and rhetoric studies. Brian and his wife, Heather, are members at Roswell Presbyterian Church. They live in Woodstock with their two children.
Robert Covington serves as the Vice-Chair for Act Together Ministries. Robert is a local community business leader and has more than 30 years of experience in information technology and security. He currently serves as the Director of Cyber Security for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Robert served as the president of Church Growth Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on the growth of local churches, He currently acts as the volunteer Technical Director for ChristChurch Presbyterian in Buckhead, where he has served and been a member for over 18 years.
Joy Gilbert is a pediatrician in Smyrna, GA. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at Oglethorpe University then went on to get her MD at Mercer University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah. Joy practiced outpatient medicine at Conyers Pediatrics from 2011-2021. After a family relocation, she started working as a pediatric newbornist at Wellstar Cobb in October 2021. She and her husband Nick live in Smyrna with their 2 sons, Evan and Jacob, and three cats. They are also members at Intown Community Church and are volunteers in the children’s ministry there.
Cleve Hill provides legal counsel for Act Together Ministries. Cleve is a managing partner of Hill & Watchko, LLC. in Alpharetta. The law firm offers estate planning, probate, guardianships, conservatorships, elder law, fiduciary litigation, and business formation. He graduated magna cum laude from Oglethorpe University in 2001 and then went on to obtain his law degree, cum laude, from Mercer University in 2004. Mr. Hill resides in Canton with his family, and they attend Woodstock City Church. Cleve remains active at his alma mater where he currently serves as a Trustee for the Oglethorpe University Board of Trustees where he has chaired the Campus Life, Academic Affairs, and Mission Fulfillment Committees.
Doug Hooper handles our bookkeeping and accounting. Doug currently serves as CFO at a Charleston, SC based Pharmaceutical company. He has served as CFO and COO across a variety of organizations and industries throughout his career. Doug started the financial coaching ministry at Perimeter Church. He holds an MBA in International Business and has over 20 years of experience. Doug and his wife Heidi reside in Charleston, SC and have two grown daughters. He is passionate about helping those in need and serves as the Act Together board Treasurer.
Chris Lee currently serves as the Secretary for Act Together Ministries. He is a Vice President at U.S. Strategic Capital where they focus on small business lending. Chris is a graduate from Kennesaw State University with degrees in Finance and Economics. Chris resides in Canton with his wife, Jessica, and their 3 kids. They attend Restoration Church in Alpharetta, GA.
