Core Values

ACT for the sake of the children
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." -Matthew 19:14

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. -James 1:27

It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin. So watch yourselves. -Words of Jesus, Luke 17:2-3DSC03123

ACT Rightly in Mercy and Humility
Doing what God requires of Christians.

He has showed you, O man, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God. -Micah 6:8

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. -Colossians 3:12

Put our faith into ACTion
We seek to live out the Christian life in both word and deed.

Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? -James 2:15-16

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. -I John 3:16-18

ACT selflessly and serve others
Putting the needs of others above our own and humbling ourselves to the level of a servant as Jesus did.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. -Philippians 2:3-4

Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." -Matthew 20:26-28

ACT Together as the Body of Christ
When we work together as the body of Christ we can accomplish more. Act Together Ministries seeks to work alongside nonprofit organizations and partner with churches and other para-church ministries. Volunteers from all walks of life, different organizations and churches are welcome to join in our efforts.

Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. -Ecclesiastes 4:12

How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! -Psalm 133:1
