- Programs Act Together offers children in single parent homes - Back 2 School, Christmas and Birthday Sponsorship, Essentials: Clothing and Food, General Assistance, Summer and Enrichment Scholarships, Prayer Partners, and Special Events. (Some programs are limited to families with financial need.)
- Programs Act Together offers single parents- Bible Study for single moms, Mentoring, Random Acts of Kindness such as yard work or delivering meals.
Single Parents Raising children alone can be scary and overwhelming at times. Act Together offers you some relief! What we Offer to Single Parent Families - Back 2 School Event (August) – Each child will receive school supplies, hair cuts, medical and dental checks to start the school year off on the right foot.
- Christmas Sponsorship (December) – Sponsorship includes gifts and clothing for you to give your children (from you) on Christmas. We also have a Happy Birthday Jesus party for the children. This is always a big hit with cake, ice cream, Santa Claus, gifts, crafts and games to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
- Easter Baskets and Spring Clothing (March/April) – Another annual event that’s always a ton of fun! Each child receives an Easter basket filled with goodies. Spring clothing is available for growing children. The whole family enjoys a cook out lunch, games, crafts, and an egg hunt.
- Essential Needs – Act Together offers clothing, furniture/bedding, diapers/formula and food on an as needed basis. Please let us know about your situation and we will do our best to assist you in caring for your children.
- Birthday Needs – Let us know your child’s birthday and we will provide party supplies and gifts that you can give (from you.)
- Camp Scholarships in the summer – gives your child the chance to attend camp while providing much needed daycare while you are at work.
- Support – We have prayer partners who will pray for your family on a daily basis. We also offer Bible Study and Support Groups specifically for single parents.
- General Assistance – Home Repairs, maintenance, oil changes, meals, and more.
- Mentoring – We have single parents with years of experience willing to assist struggling or new single parents.
- Job Assistance and Training – We offer a 12 week job mentoring course. Out of work parents will have a mentor to assist in finding jobs and will complete weekly assignments to help build their resume, develop job skills, and obtain employment.
- Referrals – to networks, organizations, church groups and more for single parents.
- Misc. – We seek to meet the needs where they exist and are open to helping with various needs. Let us know about your desire/need and it will be evaluated on a case by case basis depending on the resources and volunteers we have available. Examples: help with landscaping, yard work, repairs, childcare, etc.
Single Parents Sign Up All of our programs are funded by generous donations from people in our community. There is never a cost for single parent families.
